I will not be picking Kirby Air Ride for the GC draft. I had the same issue with the game as critics did when the game released. One button controls was both unnecessarily simple and unnecessarily complicated and the only fun I had was exploring in City Trial.

I totally fucked with Kirby Air Ride for way longer than needed. My brother and I would role play in the free play area for hours and hours. I don't actually know what the real game is if I try to recall.

I remember a contest for eternal darkness. As Al’s UK presence for a while, Nintendo was doing a giveaway on the big sites and reached out to us. The details are hazy as was to do with some abstract gimmick website for the launch. Me and another GW member whose name I’ll never be able to recall ended up with an Eternal Darkness tshirt.

I ended up spending some of my own money to buy a second gamecube so that my brothers would stop whining and trying to get on mine all the time lol. The new one was black, so I kept that and the new controller for myself and gave them the old one.

The youngest bro had ended up destroying two joysticks from two of my controllers while I was at school. Not sure if he just ate them or what, but boy was I pissed.

The BlazBlue and and Guilty Gear games (before Strife) are great displays of 2D sprites in modern games.

I had no idea THPS3 was on N64 but I was absolutely about to take it when I found out because that was my favorite in the series.

Legit never heard of anyone complain about Nintendo not having games until this thread. N64, Gamecube, and the Wii were some of my strongest libraries. My worst were probably the Genesis, the first two Playstations, the 360 (I had an early one without built-in Wi-Fi), and the Wii U (can't really argue for that one. They abandoned that thing fast). If I had to join a draft for the original Xbox I'd have to start googling the moment anyone took Halo.

They probably did it to make the character sprites fit in better with the backgrounds.

KoF XII was kind of a soft reboot of the series in response to Street Fighter IV. They redrew everything from the ground up. Problem was that they messed up everything else and had to right the ship with XIII.

There it is. One more racing game. I'm surprised this was the last Star Wars game taken. I got to play that game in arcades, too. It's not easy.

My game is a fighting game from Midway NOT named Mortal Kombat:

Mace: The Dark Age

Technically, it was made by Atari and published by Midway, but the MK inspirations are all over the game. Really, this is the closest thing thr N64 has to Soul Calibur. Based on reviews and game footage, it's not as polished or deep as a Soul Calibur, or even Soul Blade and it has special moves for characters that aren't weapon related (fireballs and the like). It also has finishers like MK. This game is like if you took MK Deadly Alliance and forced players to only use the weapon stance.

For the GC draft, I got to figure out which WWE games I played. One of them was fun as hell where you could acquire some random belts and have title matches with your friend. I pissed one of my friends off so badly as I would win 99 out of 100 matches and I had the one belt he really liked. He'd grind the game to get more belts to put one on the line again to try to win his back. It was great. He never got it back and I think he later bought a new WWE game and we switched to playing that. And it was different kind of fun where you tossed your friend off a tall ass crane and you'd 5SFS all the way down. Good times.
