Yeah I know you're a wolf don't worry. You're next.I've got no opinions so far. A lot of strong personalities so far for sure
Say it's guaranteed. They have no way of knowing whether it's random, right? So if someone has a role that's on both lists, do you want them to say guaranteed or random?
Yeah I know you're a wolf don't worry. You're next.
C'mon Joneh. We gotta get on our twinning game here.Local's a wolf?Did a miss a feel?
So when we have six "proven" guaranteed identified and you start going after the rest because they're all lying wolves, but some people with "guaranteed" roles actually were random...?Say it's guaranteed. They have no way of knowing whether it's random, right?
Edit: as in, they have no way of knowing whether they got the role from the random pool or not
Local's a wolf?Did a miss a feel?
This is a possibility, but it's the best shot we have. Hopefully when it gets to that point, we can better determine who to go after and if there are any double roles. So when we have six "proven" guaranteed identified and you start going after the rest because they're all lying wolves, but some people with "guaranteed" roles actually were random...?
I'd rather vote for a wolf with powers than a werewolf fanI'm going to go to bed (vote TD)

Edited my post because I misread yours at first. This is a possibility, but it's the best shot we have. Hopefully when it gets to that point, we can better determine who to go after and if there are any double roles.
Shortkut's a wolf:Did I miss something?
Let me rephrase, I missed something. Care to fill me in?
so then lay it out. It's really not that hard to figure out, Cole, but it requires that the town acts in good faith.
If someone claims guaranteed and is killed by confusion wolf, we can assume that that was a guaranteed townie, narrowing the list and placing more focus on the wolves. As soon as all guaranteed roles are proven/dead in some way, any wolves who claimed to be guaranteed would be outed and killed.
It helps the village home in on wolves, which is exactly why do many wolves right now are shitting themselves over it.
You'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out. And the beauty is: if I'm killed and confusion'd tonight, that just proves my role type is what I said it was, narrowing hiding places for wolves.you didn't actually answer the question. how is YOUR role going to be authenticated
Can I cop a feel?Local's a wolf?Did a miss a feel?
Basically TD suggested it's a good strategy for wolves to all claim random, then didn't claim a role type, then accused me of being a werewolf fan (projection) because "my" (his) idea would signal to the wolves a strategy (which it didn't, until HE broadcasted the strategy).I don't exactly follow but
I'll read this again tomorrow. Sounds like a start but not for like...a good reason? LolBasically TD suggested it's a good strategy for wolves to all claim random, then didn't claim a role type, then accused me of being a werewolf fan (projection) because "my" (his) idea would signal to the wolves a strategy (which it didn't, until HE broadcasted the strategy).
You say this like it hasn't been said every single game and that I'm bringing something new to the table.Basically TD suggested it's a good strategy for wolves to all claim random,
You’re a dumdumShortkut's a wolf:

Random or guaranteed? Random, right? I'll probably be chilling in my own nice little corner before outing any information. I don't remember what game it was, but I vividly remember one game where it looked fairly bad for the town as the wolves were picking off all the guaranteed roles. I don't...gwforums.com
TD is likely signalling he's a fan:

Because I know you to be more logical than this. Why haven't you voted Jon like I suggested? He is in your sus list after all. Right?
Character attacks are the defense of the weak. If my logic is flawed, point it out instead. You’re a dumdum
It's a possibility? Has there been any game where that hasn't happened? Idk man, this feels like an excuse to lynch townies. Wolves will probably claim random roles and then kill people who say they're guaranteed, especially if we follow your publicly announced plan, so it doesn't really help us narrow down anything and will instead cause us to waste time we don't have. This is a possibility, but it's the best shot we have. Hopefully when it gets to that point, we can better determine who to go after and if there are any double roles.
Why?Because I know you to be more logical than this.
Especially if you're willing to imply that you know Jon's bad, you should be willing to commit to guaranteed/random.
Others have already pointed it out and you’re either choosing to ignore it or you’re not understand. What’s the point in putting effort into a post that will amount to a waste of time?Character attacks are the defense of the weak. If my logic is flawed, point it out instead.
No, because it's the smart move to make. Why?
Cause you told me to?
Wat. If all wolves claim random roles, then already we've narrowed the list of people we need to look at by 6/16.Idk man, this feels like an excuse to lynch townies. Wolves will probably claim random roles and then kill people who say they're guaranteed, especially if we follow your publicly announced plan,
Idk man, this feels like an excuse to lynch townies.
Literally the opposite, using your own logic above.it doesn't really help us narrow down anything and will instead cause us to waste time we don't have.
No, others have used half-baked and illogical justifications that wolves would come up with to try to explain why they won't make the job of lynching easier for the town. Why? Because it's in wolves' interest that people don't do that, since they have a confusion wolf.Others have already pointed it out and you’re either choosing to ignore it or you’re not understand. What’s the point in putting effort into a post that will amount to a waste of time?
If you think Jon is bad, that makes me think he's less likely to be bad. Also Kelly: But I will not vote for him because Cole and TD are not going along with my strategy and therefore must be bad.
This makes no sense. Let’s say 2 people claim guaranteed roles. That leaves 12 random. Which 6 did we narrow it down by? How do we know the 2 guaranteed roles aren’t wolves and the real guarantee roles aren’t hiding with the randoms to try to survive your cull?Wat. If all wolves claim random roles, then already we've narrowed the list of people we need to look at by 6/16.
That's why everyone in the town has to do it. It only works if the town behaves as, you know, a town. People refusing to identify as guaranteed/random only hurts the plan and the town itself. This makes no sense. Let’s say 2 people claim guaranteed roles. That leaves 12 random. Which 6 did we narrow it down by? How do we know the 2 guaranteed roles aren’t wolves and the real guarantee roles aren’t hiding with the randoms to try to survive your cull?
Stop trying to make "fan" happen. It's NOT going to happen.New thought: wolves hit #12 last night and already got the fan which would make it 6 wolves currently. Hence this aggressive narrative.
Not really. If some random townies have duplicate roles then both lists will be too long. Or worse, there's enough duplicates that the guaranteed list is more sus than the random list even though no/few wolves are on it. We'd have to split it into three groups (definitely guaranteed, definitely random, could be either) to know anything, and that'd tell the wolves who the marksman and ritualist are.No, because it's the smart move to make.
Wat. If all wolves claim random roles, then already we've narrowed the list of people we need to look at by 6/16.
Literally the opposite, using your own logic above.
Whenever someone from the guaranteed/random claims gets killed (even if by confusion wolf), then that narrows the list down of who to lynch.
Anyone who reads this post should realize how ridiculous this sounds.I’m going to bed, but before I do time to start the bandwagon train. It started as a not serious vote, but with each post he makes, I think Kelly is detrimental to the town regardless of his role. All aboard! This is an express train bound for lynchville. Population: Kelly

The wolves are going to lie and the town needs to preserve themselves. That's why everyone in the town has to do it. It only works if the town behaves as, you know, a town. People refusing to identify as guaranteed/random only hurts the plan and the town itself.
I outlined all of this in my initial post.
why is it, th at every time someone in a wolf game lays out a grand plan involving forcing others to role claim, they're afraid to put their money where their mouth is.You'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out. And the beauty is: if I'm killed and confusion'd tonight, that just proves my role type is what I said it was, narrowing hiding places for wolves.
Also, I reckon wolves target players who have not claimed by this point, using the confusion wolf. So if you wanna stay alive, better start saying if you're guaranteed or random.
I mean, that would also happen due to the fact that a person is dead. Unless we get some credible info from anyone on those lists, they all might as well be wolves.Whenever someone from the guaranteed/random claims gets killed (even if by confusion wolf), then that narrows the list down of who to lynch.
By this point it's almost stanStop trying to make "fan" happen. It's NOT going to happen.
Yes, but as the game plays out and people drop off, we'll have a better idea of who *in each list* is lying. If we don't do this, confusion wolf does his thing and wolves have free reign to make claims, and then the game is basically lost for us.If some random townies have duplicate roles then both lists will be too long. Or worse, there's enough duplicates that the guaranteed list is more sus than the random list even though no/few wolves are on it
I get where you're coming from, but that wouldn't be a good idea because ritualist and marksman are important roles. As the game develops, these roles will be revealed naturally, and help us home in on the wolves further. We'd have to split it into three groups (definitely guaranteed, definitely random, could be either) to know anything, and that'd tell the wolves who the marksman and ritualist are.
Would this be better or worse than being a protection down? Probably better as night 1 would just be protecting loudmouth for all we know lol.New thought: wolves hit #12 last night and already got the fan which would make it 6 wolves currently. Hence this aggressive narrative.
