Post your pictures

Recently some scientists sent a submersible beneath the ice shelf in Antarctica and took pictures of the underneath of it for the first time. Here are a couple of their pictures.

I didn't keep a link to the article, but you could do a reverse image search on these pictures to find it, probably.

Cool.

That, or penguin flippers.
Suspicious I Saw That GIF by Pudgy Penguins

Better not be freezing my penguin buddies' flippers!

I'm travelling right now and happened on an ad for a "through the ages" video game exhibit. Thought I'd stop in and see a small selection, but ended up staying an hour or so. Saw some really strange and unique stuff that I'd never heard of before.

I easily could've pent a lot more time but had to get a move on. Still, got to play some cool stuff I'd never played before, on original hardware, like:
  • Tennis for Two (first video game ever)
  • Computer Space (first arcade game ever, and really fun and well made!)
  • Colecovision Smurfs
  • Castlevania X68000
  • Neo Geo Metal Slug
  • 1942 on Supergrafx
  • Penguin Adventure (MSX, the first game Kojima worked on)

I started taking pics too late and didn't take as many pics as I should've, but here's a couple of cool ones:

When I left the theater after seeing A Minecraft Movie with my son, there was one single goose chilling in the parking lot.

I didn't disturb it to see why, but I wonder if it picked the worst place for a nest.

It looks like somebody fed that goose there.
Yeah, it definitely had a crumbled biscuit in front of it or something, but all the feathers it was sitting on made me wonder what was up. Unless it was just plucking itself for fun, I had assumed it was chilling there before the food was given, not the other way around.

But who knows the machinations of geese (Other than @Quagmire)?

In my mind, there's a person out there who loves chaos, and they are feeding that goose there to encourage it to nest in a spot that's guaranteed to cause problems.

My mum knitted this monkey for my kids with velcro on the hands so it could give hugs.

It has however lived in a bag of stuffies because I fear the kids will one day work out the same thing I did.

I bought a new camera because I've been getting the itch to do walk around and hiking photography. I had an old Nikon DSLR from 2003 so I got a new Fujifilm XT5 with a specialized lens and man is it way more camera than I need. It was inspiring to take some time and frame shots. Looking forward to doing more and getting my skills back up to where they used to be. I was pretty happy with this batch, there were a bunch that were blah but I had fun.

There was apparently a car show going on or something.
