Gonna edit this later, but some things to know:

While not as polished as Zell's game (I don't have an order of operations because I don't know yet what roles will interact and how), there are a couple roles that cannot be repeated for each team. For the city, there can only be one Cyber Detective or Courier. For the Corpo team, there can be only one Spy Assassin or Genetic Scientist. There can be both or none, but if one exists, there will be only one. All other roles can have multiple. The only order of operations currently is that the Corpo kill is the last thing that occurs in the night cycle.

Please note I have removed the ability to gift resources! Certain Roles, Kills, and successful Defends are the only ways to earn additional resources!

Link to the Role Dictionary

Special Conditions

  • In this game using abilities is not free. Resources are used to pay for abilities.
  • Each role is assigned a starting number of resources with which to use up front.
  • City Roles will use their resources independently. You may use your ability unlimited times, provided you have the resources to pay for it, unless specified otherwise in the role description.
  • Corpo resources are pooled together and can be used in any combination the Corpo agents choose collectively.
  • When using Corpo abilities, the Corpo agents must notify me of the distribution of points. For example, if the total pool of the Corpo agents is 50 resources, and they choose to use an ability that costs 10 resources, they must declare whose resources are being used to pay for the ability use. The nightly kill from the Corpo agents does not cost resources.
  • Resources from a killed Corpo agent are deducted from the Corpo pool.
  • For abilities that automatically use resources, the resources MUST be present in the Corpo pool at the time of ability trigger. If there isn't, the ability will fizzle.
  • Lone Wolf roles are assigned different starting resources depending on the role.
  • For city roles, additional resources can be acquired by:
    • Certain role abilities
    • Eliminating players
    • Successfully defending another player
  • For Corpo, additional resources can only be acquired via eliminations.
  • Lone Wolves have special conditions with resources specified within their roles.
  • Successful eliminations award the killing player all the remaining resources the killed player had remaining.
  • Successfully defending another player will award the defender 5 resources paid to them by the city (and not tied to a player).
  • Some roles' abilities are exceptionally powerful and cost more than the starting resources.

Win Conditions

The City –
Kill the Lone Wolf and all Corpo Agents
Corpo – Kill the Lone Wolf and have as many Corpo Agents as City Roles
Lone Wolf – Be the last person standing

It's been almost a year since the fateful night the Cyberpsycho killed almost the entire city of Neon Nexus. At the time, it seemed like the city would never rebuild. Corpo influence was non-existent, but so was the activity of the city.

The city that never slept, was sleeping.

But all that is lost is not always forgotten. The city was resilient. Those that remained pulled together to rebuild the factions. Syndicates again rose, and Corporations once again began funneling money and influence. After what felt like fruitless rehabilitation, old wounds began to reopen. Scars that were once thought healed tore the flesh apart once again.

After all, scars are just tattoos with better stories.

But the stories of old waste no time being retold. History is written by the victor. But in Neon Nexus, no one wins (except me; and the Cyberpsycho).

There are:
10 Random City
4 Random Corpo
1 Random Lone Wolf

Day will open at 9:30am (EST).

As the sun rises on another day in the Neon Nexus, random citizen Jon was walking down the street listening to an ancient tune sung by a band called The Beatles called "Birthday." He didn't know how a group of insects could hold such a harmony and play instruments so well, but the past was a wonder, he thought. But it was his birthday! The day was sunny and warm, and there wasn't a care in the world! NOTHING could go wrong.

Skipping along down the street, Jon stops for a moment to check out a storefront. The newest game in his favorite franchise, Final Fantasy 798, was just delayed. At least they are listening to the developers finally, unlike Ubisoft. Can't believe they're still around... he thought. As the distracted citizen turned to walk away, he suddenly trips and falls face first into the back of a local gang member's back.

Yo! You got a problem, choom! You disrespectin' our deceased leader here!

Looking at what he tripped over, a dead body lay near unrecognizable. Right next to him, a victim covered in blood and vomit... But no one seemed to care about this body. In fact, not a single soul was near this victim. Jon strolled over to the body, looking for identification when he saw a piece of paper in his hand, being clutched for dear life. Jon took the paper and unfolded it. On it was one sentence...

"Local Hero is the Neon Dealer!"

Confused, Jon stood up where a mysterious figure now stood eye level. The figure took the piece of paper, saying not a word, and walked away, leaving Jon in need of new underpants.

His birthday was turning weird. He decided it's time to go home before something else happened to him.

Jon decided to take a detour through the corporate sector of the city to reach his apartment. It's got to be safer this way... he thought.

But... it wasn't. Laying not six feet in front of him was a woman dressed in an elegant pant suit, with police cordoning off the area. Except... she should have worn the red suit, because the bullet wound to her chest was fatal and the blood was visible. Jon thought he definitely should have worn his brown pants. Three dead bodies was not on his birthday wish list.

He finally arrives at home. He goes to sit on his couch but a blanket and weird noises are coming from it. He lifts the blanket and has more horror, perhaps the biggest of them all...

GOD DAMNIT, JD! I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE MY FUCKING COUCH ALONE! GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!

But it's the softest in the complex! JD exclaimed as he ran out of the room crying. I'm telling my dad you're a crazy cat man!

As JD disappears around the corner, Jon says as he slams the door, I don't even have a cat, you moron!

With the drama finally over, Jon plops onto his bed, cutout in the wall, and puts on more music by the insect band.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Dead Body was killed by the Corpos. The Dead Body was the Ganger.

The Genetic Scientist had altered the Dead Body's DNA.

In trying to help, Quagmire was killed by poison spores. Quagmire was the Informant.

With his death, the Informant revealed Local Hero is the Neon Dealer.

The Bounty Hunter killed Kat. Kat was the Corpo Executive.

Day 1 is open and will close at 10am tomorrow (sorry for the delay). Vote in the poll who the city wants to Extirpate. Poll will be up in a moment.

Wait, no poll?
I was slow to it. That story and other things took longer to set up than I thought. Should be there now. I could only make it close at 11 because I didn't preload things last night as I was missing several night actions. So day will close at 11am then.

I’ve always wanted a shiny dumpster on wheels
Surely even better when it's a shiny dumpster on wheels that cannot be extinguished at all if it (as dumpsters are prone to do) catches on fire.

And if so, are we going to have Jawneh continue his schtick?
If you had taken a look at the role list, you'd see that I'm the courier in this universe.

And I happen to have some letters sent back from the dead! First day on the job and already got work!

Kat is a bit peeved again. Figures she dies night 1 again right after lasting uncommonly long in the previous wolf game. That sucks Kat.

Quaqmire got the COVID-69 and died. That's Cyber Orvillian Virus Disease 69 as reference. The one thing he did right as a snitch is to die with his snitching...

... or that's what I'd like to say, but he's complaining why his snitching wasn't told to the whole city. @Jon ?

Hey hey! Don't let my exceptional performance last game influence your vote! Odds are I'm not a corporate wolf two games in a row!

... but beyond that, yeah I'd vote me.

... what? Where is everyone?

I thought we all were here united against corporate greed. But here, not even mice are squeeking. Even the rat is gone.

I don't think you want that. I heard it smells like beer.
While you're right that I probably don't, Benzine did let us know he doesn't drink as much as he used to. I'm sure Benzine smells more like weed at present, which, same :spidey .
