You guys got put in a tough spot by a lot of things out of your control. The gunner, bully, and priest were all nails with some pretty random shots. And despite that you have a great chance of winning if Tommy had burned.

I really assume that if I'd picked a different investigation role--had I read better (what a pair, @shortkut)--we could have spun the bully thing without creating a paradox.

Just wanted to jump on this post: That would have been impossible. I moved my trap to vash the night after the first day of bully action happened, fully anticipating rk being killed and then the known townies being killed off after that.

I initially thought it would have been CAFM as the last wolf because I forgot about FR in the strong role on day 1, but either way I anticipated the last wolf trying to work it down to be me, Ben, and CAFM and took action to ensure that couldn't happen.


That's why I was being a bit shifty, so I could take my moment to set the trap where it could work best.

@Zell 17 I'm assuming the Beast Hunter trap would take priority over the Doctor save, right? Beast Hunter prevents the attack in the first place while the Doctor would heal after the fact? So that would have been the first ever successful BH kill?

Nah the doctor would have saved. The idea being that it's preventing your trap from being consumed for the evening (say if you were attacked by a solo killer).

I mean I guess. But why wouldn't the trap go off and then the doctor save me from the killer in that case? Just doesn't make much sense for a doctor to save a machine instead of a person.

I tried a new thing this game where I didn't just blab every thought that entered my head

Sorry it made for 90% fewer posts to read

I was trying to bait Ben into leaving me alive (oh no please dont put me on the spot again!!!) so I could point out that he couldn't have a strong role and lead to town to victory but the Department of Agriculture showed up at my store for an audit so I was slow to get to the thread, so Alu pointed it out before I could.

I tried setting it up the previous day phase in case of my death by telling taker he might have to throw another rock and telling CAFM he could win the game with a successful protect.

With CAFM protecting RK and me guarding you there was nothing at all Ben could have done. Kill one of the unknowns the the other knows or try for one of the knowns and either be blocked or killed.

Or just remove the roles like cupid like roles, that change someone else's win condition, in favor of something new?Maybe if more than one wolf picks alpha you roll between them and have the rest pick other roles?
