Thib’s teams always start slowSo far the Knicks don't seem very good.
I hope they stay slow.Thib’s teams always start slow
i would actually but i’m all out of house money so i’m done gambling for now! at least until my next luxury purchase i want. across the three gambling apps i’ve used, on a total investment of 25 actual dollars i’ve made a 2,715% ROIi'm up to 165 units now. @Fire Queen you gonna take the Hornets again? It's just the Hawks!
This is some perspective. Not exclusive to basketball, other sports too... but holy fucking shit... 64 MILLION a year... that's insane. I would take a FRACTION of that and care for my family for my lifetime. I love sports, but the money these guys get to play that some of us play for fun is absurd.
It was more a general sentiment than this specific one. Baseball is the same way. Their contracts are absurd for what is the least physical and least dangerous of any major sport.i actually think chuck is wrong (i love charles) but it's just easy to shit talk embiid here (also i don't even like embiid)
first, it's probably harder to be an nba player than any job he just mentioned. the qualification to get there is so massive.
people don't have to offer embiid that much money. but they still do it, even knowing that he's injury prone and what not. also, it's not like he's only playing basketball... gotta practice, trainingg, exercise, and do weights. then in general, everything he does is with his basketball career in mind.
we don't hear from embiid or the sixers really on this, but they could have an understanding and want to prolong embiids career. or give him a better chance to be available for more important games.
embiid is also underpaid for the value he provides. i didn't know you were anti workers!!!
also none of this will even matter because it's not like he's going to stay healthy anyway, and even if he did he still will choke in the playoffs.
Nah, no drama and no stress at all! I just realized you're right. Where I chose to post that, the conversation was swinging in the wrong direction for the intent. Kind of two convos in one.oh there's no drama here jon just chatting, hope you're not stressing it.
Not exclusively I don't, no. But if you can't stay healthy, then you can't produce at the level you were drafted for. So while skill definitely has to be included, I think someone who can't be on the field CAN be a bust.do you considered injured/injury prone players busts? always gotta make sure you're on the same page before applying the labels - i don't want to call a player a bust cause they're injured (the pick used on them is the bust). Greg Oden (you may be thinking of Lamar Odom) was very injured, never got a good shot at the nba. Embiid is often injured, has had bad injuries, but still was a very good player (who also was choking like crazy any time in the playoffs)
More competitive series than I’ve seen in a long timeSo far, this has been one of the best post seasons I've watched, and I've watched the last however many. The games are being slowed down a bit by the refs and I'm not sure how I feel about what goes on in the reviews anymore, but I'm only not sure - and cause of timezones and work I often let the game play for about a half and then skip all the breaks anyway... So with that in mind, back to how fucken good have these games been?
