It's so good. I played the fuck out of it across both PS4 and PS5. Those mechanics hit just right.

I played the first one more than this. I still have ways to go to just fill up all the upgrades and whatnot. I don't think I even ever played after the latest area was released. Ill get back to it eventually.

Ye. It be Hexen. I played that on N64 of all things an really liked it. Kind of decent coop game with a deathmatch mode as well.

It really did scratch that Doom itch while also being different and expanding on the fun stuff of exploring and finding things. Three playable characters also was neat.

I played so much Dark Forces II... The cutscenes always made it feel more movie-like.

I want to like Rebel Assault 2 because of the cheesy FMV clips, but the second I got to the "on foot" section, I realized that I'm probably never going to finish the game. At least the gameplay in Dark Forces is fun.

Ohhhh... Huh. Maybe that's why it felt familiar, I might have seen one of them on a demo disk.

But that helped narrow my search down I guess. "Amiga grappling arm run-and-gun not on snes" got me Super Turrican?

Super Turrican 2, but I'll give it to you. Released very late in the system's life and very hard to come by.
