They've also increased some accessory prices in the US.

Additionally, they are joining Nintendo in charging $80 for games. No news for game prices in other markets, and no changes to Game Pass either.

I also recently saw 8bitDo are no longer gonna ship to the US due to tariffs and they made pretty solid 3rd party controllers at great prices

Im gonna go ahead and get one, I only have a smaller one for my sons ipad and sometimes i use it on my phone. Great for the price. I still use my ps4 controllers on my pc and Im ready to be done with them

I guess I'm just going to have to find an XBONE X to play backwards compatible OGXBOX and 360 games... I was hoping to see a price decrease at some point, thus making used units cheaper, but I guess that's not happening.

Been cautious about the XBONE because the OS is supposedly garbo, but I'm not spending 400+ on a video game system unless it's a NeoGeo...

I did just sign up for gamepass will keep for a few months, I probably spend less than $200 for games, I just dont have the time for it as much so I can wait on a lot of things and get them cheap or play my back log

The era of consoles getting cheaper over time is probably over. They were able to do that before due to chip manufacturing improving so dramatically so quickly. Essentially they could dramatically shrink the chip after a couple of years, which reduced power requirements and shed less heat, which meant most other components also became cheaper. Chip architectures have gotten about as tiny as they can physically get (currently at 2nm-ish), and that takes a whole lot of crazy and expensive tricks, so there's not much opportunity to drastically shrink current chips. The days of slim versions of consoles mid-generation at a discount are done, IMO. Don't count on them going forward.

Yeah, because of Moore's "law", which has been on life support through clever trickery for at least a decade. It can't keep up forever, at some point you run up against the actual laws of physics, and they're getting real close right now. That's why computers used to become utterly obsolete after a couple of years and now all the major phone manufacturers promise to support phones for five to seven years. Look at even something like Nvidia's GPUs: the current gen is only marginally better than the ones from a few years ago, and they aren't any cheaper.

Technology will still advance, of course, but not at the pace we all grew up with.
