Movies I forgot how great Inglorious Basterds is

It has been awhile since I've seen, actually probably not since theater or maybe not long after it came to video

Holy fuck it is fun. Maybe it isn't Tarantino's "best" film, but I think it is his most fun film. Wonderfully acted, charming, and most importantly a lot of Nazi killing

(The current US political scene is why I decided to re-watch this and damn does it feel good to see Nazi killing)

I think it's my favorite of Tarantino's films. I saw it in a packed theater, which was a great time. Each scene has a buildup of palpable tension while managing to incorporate consistent humor. A very fun watch.

Movie fuckin whips, I love it, but I think it just misses out on my top 5 Tarantinos.

Was watching Ocean's Eleven again last week and there's a scene where its Brad Pitt talking and you're not supposed to know its him but it sounds like a prototype version of the voice he puts on in this so I started laughing.

Agreed with it being low, wasnt a huge fan

Need to also rewatch. Still remember seeing the grind house double feature in college. Amazing experience and it gave us Machete!

Yeah, OUATIH is pretty polarizing. Personally I could have watched another 6 hours of that shit.

I need to give Death Proof another look though. Only watched it the one time, when I've seen the rest of his at least 5-6 each.

Death Proof was by far my least favorite Tarintino movie. I actually disliked it.

I'd have to rewatch many to figure out ranking. Inglorious Basterds and Hateful Eight are probably towards the top.

I had a blast watching the Roadshow edition of Hateful 8. Wish they'd release that on Blu-Ray.

Is that anything like the extended version on Netflix or a whole different cut?

I don't DISLIKE Hateful Eight (I'll watch pretty much anything with that much Goggins, even if he's as hammy as he was in this) but the theatrical cut just doesn't quite hang with the rest of his movies IMO.

Supposedly, but I never watched it because I don't use Netflix.

Back when this movie first came out I loved it. Then I watched it with one of my cousin's extremely Jewish friends, and toward the end he was screaming

"YES! YES! FUCK YOU! HAHA!"

And the like over and over, and I enjoyed the movie even more.
