Why?
  • Forces wolves to decide day 1 what their soft "role" is; can't change mid-game
  • Makes it easier for town to find wolves by splitting them into two groups
  • Completely nullifies power of confusion wolf
  • Game is stacked against town. They have a guardian wolf so can thus waste a day, meaning it will likely be 9v6 by the time we can successfully lynch (at best)
  • We have to vote together as a town. No waffling, no changing votes unless actionable info comes out, no splitting votes.
And for god sakes Ritualist, I can't believe this has to be said, but don't revive a bad guy.

as for Kelly's proposal. I definitely don't think I'll be doing that.

Also, guaranteed roles may be more powerful than randomized ones. It would give the wolves a list of more valuable targets.

every single time I play with you you go to this "you're not as good as I've heard" speech.

it's not an insult. you're not going to offend me that easily. I don't need to be seen as good, I'm going to join a game, do something stupid and find a way to lynch a wolf about it.

If you really are town, you're putting the town at a disadvantage by following emotions over logic in this case when I've clearly outlined the benefits. And FWIW I recall Zell saying this was a valid strategy in another game.

I don't remember anyone saying "trust your heart and feelings (((in a game about deception)))" to be a good strategy.

You're a wolf and you're cornered -- and that's the most generous assessment I can make here.

my view on zells ideas of what good strategy looks like probably don't line up with yours.

trusting your instincts and your people reading in a game about deception IS the strategy.
