I also take a post-workout shower, but still take another before bed or even if I haven't sweated that day at all. Your skin still exudes oils and sheds dead cells and grows bacteria and so on.I'm not a sweaty monster. When I work out I'll also take a second quick shower on the day to clean that mess off.
a dip goblin ---> A not-sweaty not-monsterI'm not a sweaty monster.
All the more reason to shower at nightI must shower to activate.
I shower before bed and keep the room cool at night so I don’t sweat before morning.
If I have an event like a wedding, I’ll take a morning shower so I’m fresh for the event
Sure, but as the wise Benzine pointed out:And now you have 5-15 minutes more for you I the morning after you wake up. That's arguably the worst part of the day.
...is very true.I must shower to activate.
If that's the case, then it shouldn't matter when you shower, right? You'll still be fine when you get into bed.get the not smelling bad portion, but unless you're an inherently sweaty individual simply by existing, you should still be fine the next day. From there, your choice of scent masking takes care of the rest.

I do agree freshly washed sheets + freshly cleaned self is a nice feeling.
You can still get dirty from the day without sweating. Also, you are less active when sleeping, so less likely to sweat than when you’re active during the dayIf that's the case, then it shouldn't matter when you shower, right? You'll still be fine when you get into bed.
… throw in a thread count as high as me, and I’m golden. I’m picky about my bed linens.
you should shower moreI cant tell the difference between fresh and not fresh sheets, makes no difference to me
I also dont believe in making the bed (only do when changing the sheets or if I was seeing someone new-ish)
Are you saying you're golden about your showers?
Are we going to make this another fetish thread? Are you saying you're golden about your showers?

Just drink coffee like the rest of us. Have it on a timer and you'll be activated faster than you get in and out of a shower.Sure, but as the wise Benzine pointed out:
...is very true.
In a world where WFH is easier now, sure. But if you got to go somewhere or actively do things during the day, you do gather some stink during normal activities whether it's noticeable or not.If that's the case, then it shouldn't matter when you shower, right? You'll still be fine when you get into bed.

The shower gets me awake and alive. The coffee is for my enjoyment.Just drink coffee like the rest of us. Have it on a timer and you'll be activated faster than you get in and out of a shower
For me it's the opposite. The shower gets me awake and alive. The coffee is for my enjoyment.
Yeah even I wouldn't have sexy time with some of these people after learning more about them with this case, and that's really saying something.you should shower more
Not for everyone. Like I said, it wakes my body up and if I shower at night it keeps me up later than I want. For me it's the opposite.
I mean I also shower for hygiene reasons.
Another argument: A refreshing and relaxing shower at the end of the day hits different.
Good thing I shower before bedYeah even I wouldn't have sexy time with some of these people after learning more about them with this case, and that's really saying something.
As in you can't tell the difference between them being washed that day or a few days ago, or ...?I cant tell the difference between fresh and not fresh sheets, makes no difference to me
When I get up, I make the bed in a way that my cat likes (I make a little nest out of the blankets in a good spot to look out the window). Then I remake it how I like to sleep in it when I go to bed. Neither arrangement would look "made" to a random person, I'm sure.I also dont believe in making the bed (only do when changing the sheets or if I was seeing someone new-ish)
For me personally, I don't notice a difference in how quickly I accumulate stink whether I'm awake or asleep, unless I'm doing something strenuous (like yard work or swimming or something), and I'd shower after that anyway. In a world where WFH is easier now, sure. But if you got to go somewhere or actively do things during the day, you do gather some stink during normal activities whether it's noticeable or not.
I did shower at night a couple of days ago, and I will admit it felt nice when I got into bed. However, I also felt more grungy during the day, and had to put off washing my hair an extra day. I don't feel like it was worth the trade off. Of course you'll feel most clean right after showering, but why is being most clean in bed, when you'll mostly be unconscious, the priority?Plus you can't say you feel anywhere as fresh laying down if you showered that morning vs. close to bedtime. Or if you do, what the hecking kind of bodywash you use and where do I order a case?!
Ohh, is "shower before bed" code for "shower before sex"? That's a daytime activity for me, and I do shower shortly before it's likely to happen. I can totally see the argument for showering before bed for someone who sleeps next to somebody at night, though.Yeah even I wouldn't have sexy time with some of these people after learning more about them with this case, and that's really saying something.
Not exactly. Just that most co-habitating couples that sleep together typically have their time for sex before sleep, so that's a extra incentive for partners to be clean for each other.Ohh, is "shower before bed" code for "shower before sex"?
It's better for your bed and linens for sure. If you feel icky, or getting there, why bring all that into your bed where you spend a good quarter to third of your life in. And like you said too, it feels nice.I did shower at night a couple of days ago, and I will admit it felt nice when I got into bed. However, I also felt more grungy during the day, and had to put off washing my hair an extra day. I don't feel like it was worth the trade off. Maybe that’s his fetish.
you should shower more
I'm sure a caveman wouldn't either.Correct, we change ours every week, I cant tell any different between when they are put on and right before we change them
