I enjoy GCW, contrary to popular belief it's not just a death match company, there are some questionable booking sometimes imo Blake Christian has been champ for way too long. but other than that it's a fun company to watch

This match sold me on (a) Matt Cardona being as damn good a wrestler as imagined, (b) the fact that he completely went away from his former WWE-era gimmick and made it work and (c) Nick Gage can actually wrestler.

I'm happy to see Cardona was able to find success outside of WWE. I still feel bad for the poor guy after WWE buried him into oblivion after he worked his ass of to get over with the fans.

2021-2022 were wicked years for Cardona; to go from his WWE-era "Broski" gimmick as Zach Ryder and literally reinvent himself as he did is nothing short of wrestling excellence. His 2022 run in NWA with his "I'm here to save the NWA" gimmick worked, especially after he beat Trevor Murdoch for the ten pounds of gold...

Yeah I've been hoping everyone would beat him here lately. The obvious choices were Janela and Effy but I cant think of an actual top guy on the face side other than Gage and Mance Warner still has that title shot in his back pocket.

I was never really a fan of Matt Cardona but this GCW run is the most interesting I have ever found him

so Blake Christian got stripped of the GCW title because he's competing at BOSJ in Japan and will be unable to defend his title against Janela at Cage of Survival on June 2nd. As happy as I am that Blake is no longer champ I do have two big problems with this

1. 1.Joey Janela legit lost the Extreme title for like 2 years and GCW never did anything about it. Blake can't make one defense and the title is vacated?
2. 2.GCW should have known this before they made the match

so I have an insane theory that is almost definitely 100% wrong but I was watching the video of Joey Janela getting attacked in his hotel room again



I was looking at the guy who was holding the crowbar and looking at how the person's right arm is positioned and even how he is holding the crowbar could that be Gregory Iron? I know it's extremely unlikely GCW does have a show in Cleveland in August. again yeah probably just a coincidence or something but if I'm somehow right on this
for Context Gregory Iron has Cerebral Palsy that affects his right artm which is why i brought bup how his arm is positioned and how he's holding the crowbar thing

So I know I'm the only one posting in this thread now but I got to rant about something.so GCW had a big show this past Saturday at the American Dream mall in New Jersey there was a world title match between Mance Warner and Effy with the stipulation of If Effy lost he could never challenge for the world title again. towards the end of the Match Effy's former friend Allie Katch came out and hit him with a chair, she then hit Mance Warner with the chair, then she hits a pile driver on the ref and she holds up the GCW title and the show ends.......now I have a couple of problems with this

1. so the end result of the match was a no contest which wasn't really announced so if you never saw GCW before (passerbys in the mall) you would have no idea tht's what happened here.

2. for a company whose whole schtick is that they don't have disqualifications they sure have a lot of no contests which when you're on a streaming service and you don't have a weekly show ending matches on no contests especially title matches isn't great since it's not like you have a weekly show to build things up. like if this was raw or smackdown or whatever then fine cause that's to be expected on a weekly show but on basically a ppv people expect a conclusion

3. this decision is obviously to set up a triple threat match between Mance, Allie, and Effy at their hammerstein show in January but that's 7 weeks away. so 7 weeks of build up instead of just having Effy win or lose on Saturday. like I know GCW kind of backed themselves into a corner with that stipulation but it's wrestling they could have found a way to change it we've had it happen before

watching the GCW Hammerstein show and unfortunate situation in a match between Effy and Allie Katch, Allie Katch went for a tope suicida and landed on her leg ad broke it in 2 places. it seems like GCW in Hammerstein is cursed

Methinks GCW shouldn't work in a building where they can't work deathmatches. That style hides a lot of shortcomings with members of the roster and they're exposed every time they work Hammerstein.

thing is GCW doesn’t do deathmatches as much anymore. they still do obviously but it went from having at least one deathmatch a show to only to be reserved for when they’re in New Jersey for the most part. and they’ve done plenty of shows in places where they don’t allow deathmatches and the shows have been good. it’s something about Hammerstein that just doesn’t seem to work.
