Hi! Welcome to GameWinners Court. Here we make the important decisions, and at the end of the day, make things OFFICIAL. Anyone who makes a topic can either be the judge for that topic, or nominate someone they wish to be the judge (they're not obligated to accept though). The judge uses their discretion on when and how to rule at the end of a case. If you're the judge, try to be impartial if you can (or you can be corrupt, whatever floats your boat). Selecting jurors can help with impartiality.

You can submit for appeal to a previous case, but it can only be re-opened with strong evidence that was not already presented in the case.

I would appeal frogs v. squirrels due to lack of consideration of their fluffy tails and cuddliness, but hypno-toad would surely just rig the verdict again.

How do I sign up for lawyering or jury duty here? And what do I do? Because I'm bored.

You just volunteer to lawyer when there's a fresh case with no lawyers or jurors selected yet. You can try to volunteer to be a juror but typically (hopefully) they only get chosen if they're neutral or at least reasonable. Or the lawyers pick an equal number to represent their case, but that probably will end up in a hung jury.

I had an idea where the lawyers get one veto each to use in the selection process, or that the lawyers would have to pick the jurors for the OTHER side, so they'll have to pick somebody either neutral or leaning away from their own opinion but would be inclined to pick people who were most open to changing their minds. Still working out the kinks of this, and open to feedback.

Psh, do this the mock trial method and pick them yourselves from an eligible pool of candidates.

I loved mock trial. It was good exercise to have people forced to see other perspectives.
